Wash and soak basmati 30 min

Fry onion slices til caramelized. Save half for garnish!

Add whole spices til fragrant, then veggies, sauté 5-7 min

Add rice, 3.5 cups water, salt. Boil then cover simmer 15 min. Top with fried onions
